NRM Working Group

In 2004-2005 the Rural R&D Corporations collectively invested $78.5 million in Natural Resource Management (NRM), more than 20% of their research investment.

To assist with reporting and accountability against each of these priorities, the Rural R&D Corporations developed an NRM R&D Reporting Framework under the auspices of the RDC NRM Working Group.

The Framework establishes a standard classification system for research projects and provides, for the first time, a consistent and comprehensive view across all RDCs of their investment in NRM.

The RDC NRM Working Group promotes better reporting, collaboration and communication on natural resource management research. It involves the research manager responsible for NRM in each RDC and representation from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
